What is AIRETT?

AIRETT stands for AI Readiness and Ethical Targeting Toolkit. It is a free, structured self-assessment that measures your organisation's readiness to adopt artificial intelligence responsibly.
The assessment covers six dimensions:
Strategy and Leadership — whether your organisation has made a formal commitment to AI adoption at leadership level.
Team Knowledge and Training — whether your staff have the knowledge and guidance to use AI tools safely and effectively.
Data Governance and Privacy — how your organisation handles data when using AI tools, in line with GDPR or equivalent privacy frameworks.
Ethics and Responsible Use — whether your organisation uses AI in a transparent, fair, and accountable way.
Tool Adoption and Operations — whether AI tools are used consistently, inventoried, and measured across the organisation.
Risk and Regulatory Awareness — whether your organisation understands the legal and reputational risks of AI adoption, including the EU AI Act.
The assessment consists of 30 statements. You select the response that best describes your organisation's current situation. It takes approximately five minutes to complete.
